As of January 1st 2025, Alius Apps will join Mendix implementation partner Squad Apps. Together, we will continue under the name Squad Apps.
Squad Apps develops industry-specific solutions using the Mendix low-code platform, with a particular focus on the healthcare market and manufacturing industry. Squad Apps operates in multidisciplinary teams, a unique approach which ensures that clients always have access to specialized expertise when needed, such as in UX/UI design, architecture, security, and more. By merging the two companies, Squad Apps now consists of a team of over 30 consultants with 200+ years of Mendix experience.
The consultants at Alius Apps are among the most technically skilled developers in the Mendix community. Since it was founded in 2022, Alius Apps has consistently ranked in the top-3 of the annual ‘Mendix Capture The Flag’ event; a competition where teams uncover as many bugs and vulnerabilities as possible in multiple applications. In 2024, they took first place out of 150 teams and 700 participants. Mikael Verhoef, co-founder of Alius Apps: “We were immediately excited about the squad concept. The addition of Alius Apps’ technical expertise to the experienced business consultants at Squad Apps elevates the squad concept to a new level. Moreover, Squad Apps will expand its offerings to include workshops on topics such as architecture and security. This means clients can be fully supported in low-code application development from start to finish. Squad Apps’ headquarters will remain at Vliegend Hertlaan 41-43 in Utrecht. As of January 1st, the office will be expanded to accommodate the growth of the team and to optimize the squad concept.
